Third placed Staveley Miners Welfare are now only behind Bridlington Town and Retford United on goal difference after their 2-0 win at home to Liversedge on Thursday night.

The Inkersall Road side found the net through David Cockerill midway through the first half and Simon Barraclough with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining to keep themselves very much in with a shout of the Baris NCEL Premier Division title.

Shirebrook Town's friendly with a Worksop Town XI was cancelled as the visitors could not raise a team but the game will now be played on Monday.
