Baris NCEL Review - Season 2011/12 #35
12th February, 2012
Only one match managed to survive the big freeze this week in the Baris Northern Counties East Football League as ice and snow played havoc with the fixture list.
AFC Emley's League Cup Third Round tie with Brighouse Town went ahead on Tuesday with the visitors being the happier at the end of the night.
Tom Matthews struck both the away side's goals, one in each half, in a 2-0 victory watched by 132 hardy souls who braved the freezing temperatures.
Brighouse are the fifth team to book their place in the last eight with Shirebrook Town, Staveley Miners Welfare, Thackley and Winterton Rangers also into the Quarter-Finals.
