Pickering Town and Pontefract Collieries have been removed from the Baris NCEL League Cup and President's Cup respectively after fielding ineligible players in recent matches.

Baris NCEL Premier Division clubs wishing to apply for promotion to Step 4 in the National League System for next season are being reminded that the closing date for submissions is December 31st.

Former Brazil captain Socrates, who made national headlines in the UK more recently when he took part in an NCEL match in 2004, has died at the age of 57.
