New manager at Moorlands

26th November, 2015

Lincoln Moorlands Railway have announced that Tom Richardson is the new manager of their Toolstation NCEL Division One side following the departure of Mick Fairweather last week.

28-year-old Richardson, who was previous manager at Dunkirk, comes with a wealth of experience at non-league level.

Tom has asked previous trainer Phil Skayman to help run the side and will also be bringing in Chris Hamilton as player/assistant manager, a physio and a kit man.

President Brian Stanton said: "This is very exciting news.

"This season has been a struggle on and off the pitch and we have full respect with the previous management team but we fully recognised the work they put in and the reasons for leaving.

"Now is the time for all to pull together."

Tom has a Level 2 coaching badge and is currently working on his UEFA B licence and is looking forward to his first game on Saturday at Selby Town to try and move the team up the league and avoid relegation.

Secretary Mark Hodds added: "We had several people apply for the position once Mick Fairweather had resigned and Tom was the best of the lot by a long way and the committee have given the full backing to Tom who is confident we can get out of the position we are currently in.

"I wish Mick and Darren all the best for the future as they put so much work into the team."

Moorlands Railway want to also thank Matt Wilson for his hard work taking over the team whilst under this process.

New team kit sponsorship for Moors

24th July, 2015

Lincoln Moorlands Railway have announced that Aquatech are their new main sponsor for the upcoming Toolstation Northern Counties East Football League season.

The Division One side have also unveiled Frontier Agriculture as the short sponsor and Football Stuff as the teamwear supplier.

Aquatech are owned by the manager of the club's reserve side, Paul Martyn, who was very keen to ensure that the passion he is putting into the on-field efforts is matched by his off-field commitment.

The deal, for both the first team and the reserves, also includes full tracksuits and polo shirts.

Secretary Mark Hodds said: "We are delighted that Aqautech have chosen to sponsor us for this season. This sort of sponsorship is hard to find nowadays.

"We'd like to thank Paul for his support and look forward to a successful season both on and off the field for Paul's side and the first team too.

"We are emphasising the vision we have here at Moorlands of one club and the feel of a Moorlands family. Both teams will be given the exact same kit and training wear to ensure continuity throughout the club.

"The club would like to place on record their appreciation of the support to the new sponsors and would like to extend the thank you to all its existing sponsors."
