Goole AFC goalkeeper Jody Barford will be raising money for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young for the sixth time when he takes on the Great North Run next month. The Vikings shot-stopper is no stranger to the event that will be taking place this year on Sunday 10th September, 2023 that he also runs in memory of his mum, Linda.
Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) aims to raise awareness that every week in the UK at least twelve apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY, you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions - see how your support can help by visiting

All at the Toolstation NCEL wish Jody the best in the event and if you would like to donate to Jody's fundraiser, then please
