Benefit Match for Injured Player

Chris Waddle has accepted an invitation to play for Worksop Parramore in a benefit match next week against Sheffield FC.
The game, that will take place on Thursday 29th November (ko 7:45pm), is for the Baris NCEL Premier Division club's prolific forward Lee Whittington who was injured in a accidental collision with a knee to his face in their home game against Pickering Town in October.
He required an operation to insert two supporting plates and will be unable to earn a living for several months on top of his upcoming wedding in January.
Worksop Parramore are pleased to announce that a number of ex-pros, stars and friends at Sheffield FC have agreed to participate in a benefit match for Lee to ease his financial burden at this difficult time.
Agreeing to pull on a Parramore shirt will be England, Sheffield Wednesday and Worksop Town legend Chris Waddle, ex-Tigers manager and ex-Rotherham player Martin Macintosh and current Parramore boss Darren Bland.
Other celebrities have been invited and there will also be items including signed shirts to raffle/auction.
For Sheffield FC, current manager, Sheffield United and boxing legend Curtis Woodhouse will play and Lincoln City boss David Holdsworth will also be making an appearance on the pitch.
The bar will be open (from 6pm) and the snack cabin will be serving food and beverages.
Admission will be ?5 (?3 concessions).
