There has been a change of manager at Baris NCEL Premier Division side, Parkgate.

Douglas Shelley tendered his resignation to Chairman Albert Dudill after their 3-1 defeat at home to Barton Town Old Boys on Saturday.

A statement from the club said: "Parkgate FC would like to place on record all the hard work, financial backing and enthusiasm that Doug has put into the club in the last two-and-a-half years to get them where they are today."

The committee acted quickly to appoint a successor and Russell Eagle takes over from today in readiness for Saturday's game away at Liversedge.

Wilfred Race retains his position as Director of Football, and Russ will be appointing an Assistant Manager as soon as possible.
