A Family Fun Day, in memory of a committee member who passed away in August after suffering a tragic accident at work, will take place at Armthorpe Welfare's M Pilbeam Construction Stadium at the end of the month.Nigel Roe, known as Nidge, was extremely proactive within his community - as well as being heavily involved with the Toolstation NCEL Division One club, he managed Wheatley Wanderers junior team, volunteered at Retro Rovers Walking Football sessions and was a valued member of Club Doncaster Foundation's Fit Rovers Project.
To celebrate his instrumental influence on the lives of everyone involved with these projects, the above organisations invite you to a Family Fun Day in Nidge's memory.
The activities will get under way from noon onwards on Sunday 30th September, 2018, and include football matches between Nidge's projects including appearances from ex-Doncaster Rovers players, a meet and greet with current Doncaster players, and a raffle.
All funds raised will go to Nidge's sons, Aaron (15) and Ryan (13), to help them prepare for their futures.
Entry is ?2 for Adults and ?1 for Under 16s and Welfare's Marra Falcons Bar will be open for refreshments all day.
