Moorlands management team revealed
10th June, 2015
Lincoln Moorlands Railway have announced their new management team for the new 2015/16 season, manager Mick Fairweather and assistant Darren Statham.
A statement from the Toolstation NCEL Division One side said: "Both come with a fantastic reputation across the region and a real sense of loyalty to the community the club serves.
"Most recently, they have been running Rustons FC in the Lincolnshire League for over five years and come with vast experience on and off the pitch."
"Even before this official announcement, there has been a real buzz around the club, the local community and players, and we look forward again to a tough but enjoyable season in NCEL Division One. Mick and Darren matched our clear vision for success. They are an experienced management due with a recognised ability to get the most out of their teams," said secretary Mark Hodds.
The new team will be assisted by Paul Martyn who will be running the second team in the Lincolnshire League and commercial manager Richard Mallett who has come from Gainsborough Town with over ten years' experience in the same role.
Charmain Colin Edwards said: "After the last few seasons seeing Moorlands Railway struggling on and off the pitch, there now appears to be a great setting for the future with this new team and, not only looking at this season but planning for the next five years, the future looks bright at last."
