Charity Match for Ex-Player
Hemsworth Miners Welfare are set to host a Leeds United Legends team at the MDC Sports Stadium on Sunday 2nd September.
The Legends play many games across the country to help financially and for good causes and the game at Hemsworth coincides with the 20 year anniversary of club legend Mick Crapper's accident whilst playing against Rossington Main that left him paralysed.
Simon Grayson, Gary McAllister and Lee Sharpe are expected to play a part in the Leeds Legends side whilst Hemsworth's team will consist of a Select XI with players, past and present, involved.
Match kick off time is 2pm, with Hemsworth's Under 19s playing beforehand at around 11am.
Admission fee is £5 Adults and £2.50 Concessions/Children aged 12 to 16. Under 12s get in for free.
There will also be activities for children available as well as a bouncy castle and facepainting and, after the match, there will be some live entertainment from several local music bands.
It looks set to be a great day for the club, Mick and everyone involved.
