The Toolstation NCEL Division One title race is down to three teams after another intriguing round of matches on Saturday.

Beverley Town remain at the top and broke through the 100 points barrier with a 4-2 victory at next-to-bottom Swallownest.

The game was level at 1-1 at the interval with Alfie Bakes netting for the hosts and Grant Tait converting a penalty for the visitors.

But, a Benjamin Hinchliffe double and a Scott Phillips strike meant Beverley took control in the second period before a late Ethan Fretwell goal added to Swallownest's tally.

They remain two points clear of Parkgate and three clear of Shirebrook Town who also both won.

Brandon Whitfield and Ahmed Tahar were the scorers for Parkgate as they beat hosts Louth Town 2-1, Paul Coulam with a late consolation for the home side, and Richard Patterson grabbed the only goal of the game as Shirebrook won at Retford United to knock their hosts out of the trophy chase.

Wakefield AFC move above Retford United into fourth, sealing a play-off place with a 7-0 victory at basement side Ollerton Town although the wins for the top three mean they can no longer challenge for the title.

There were seven different scorers for them as Jaydan Sandhu, Ben Gelder, Nathan Hawkhead, Sebastian Losa, Jordan Heliwell, Lewis Stephens and Slater Barkham-Barnes all found the net against their beleaguered hosts.

At the other end of the table, Glasshoughton Welfare moved out of the bottom three with a win in their last game of the season and must now wait and see whether they finish outside of the relegation zone.

They did their best as they beat visitors Armthorpe Welfare 2-1 despite going behind to an early Adam Baskerville strike, Thomas Palmer with a double to move them above Yorkshire Amateur on goal difference.

The Ammers play their final game in midweek and need at least a point at home to title chasing Shirebrook to leapfrog over Glasshoughton.

Elsewhere, there were 2-1 wins for Athersley Recreation and Selby Town at home to Brigg Town and Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, respectively.

Harrison Landon and Nathan Perks grabbed the goals for the Rec whilst Selby's came courtesy of Samuel Calvert and Matthew Dawes.

And, there was a 1-1 draw between Retford FC and Horbury Town as Joel Feirn's injury time equaliser for the visitors cancelled out a 77th minute strike from Matthew Parkin for the Choughs.

Two Division One games were postponed as Clay Cross Town's pitch was unplayable for their home clash with Harrogate Railway Athletic whilst Nostell Miners Welfare were unable to raise a team for their Friday night trip to Wombwell Town.

Meanwhile, there were three games in the Premier Division that had already seen the title, play-off places and relegation zone matters settled.

Knaresborough Town were 7-2 winners at Golcar United, Aaron White with a brace added to by one each for Ewan Gregson, Dominic Creamer, Jack Emmett, Harry Lee and Alex Ingham whilst Buddy Cox and George Doyle were home scorers.

Joel Chapman, Reece Moody and Harry Middleton netted for Barton Town as they won 3-2 at home to Penistone Church with Antony Brown grabbing both of the visitors' goals.

And, Scott Ruthven's late equaliser rescued a point for Hallam in a 1-1 home draw with Thackley after Thomas Greaves had given the Dennyboys the lead on the hour mark.
