Silsden AFC are the final team through to the Third Round of this season's JCP Construction League Cup after their much-postponed tie at Tadcaster Albion was at last played in midweek.

At the seventh time of asking, the match went ahead on Tuesday night and was worth the wait as the game ended in a 2-2 draw with Silsden progressing 4-3 on penalties.

Jake Maltby gave the visitors a third minute lead but that was quickly cancelled out by Junayd Cassius-Gill and Jordan Hines gave the hosting Brewers the advantage before half-time.

Kayle Price, though, restored parity once again early in the second period and that is how it stayed until the tie was settled by spot kicks in the Cobbydalers' favour.

In the Premier Division, Goole AFC have leapt out of the basement after a 3-1 win at play-off hopefuls Rossington Main with the Vikings coming from behind to claim a vital win over their hosts who stay fourth.

Liam Hardy had put the hosts ahead but Sam Thompson's equaliser and Brice Ghussein's double gave the visitors an unassailable lead by the interval.

Golcar United kept their play-off ambitions alive with a 5-0 home victory over Frickley Athletic to climb up into eighth and be nine points away from the top five.

Two goals each from Callum Petch and Alfie Wilkinson helped them to a comfortable win with George Doyle also getting on the scoresheet.

And, in Wednesday night's game, sixth-placed Albion Sports won 3-1 at home to Thackley to close the gap with their fifth-placed visitors to just one point.

Ashley Flynn's opener for the hosting Lions was cancelled out by Finn Donovan but second half goals from Robbie Fox and Flynn secured the victory for the home team.

Beverley Town are up to second in Division One as the chase for promotion continues to gather pace, an own goal by host keeper Christopher Barrow securing them a 1-0 win at Nostell Miners Welfare and they are just a point from the summit.

Parkgate stay fourth but are now only three points behind leaders Wakefield AFC after their 2-0 home victory against Harrogate Railway Athletic, Jamie Austin with both of the Steelmen's goals, the first from the penalty spot on the hour mark.

Wombwell Town remain three points away from a play-off spot despite winning 2-1 at home to Horbury Town, Jordan Kershaw's penalty and a Cory Woodward strike earning the victory.

Ashley Butterworth claimed an injury-time consolation for Horbury who stay seventh with a six point gap now between themselves and their hosts who are in sixth.

Fifth-placed Retford United maintained their three-point advantage over Wombwell as they won 3-0 at home to Yorkshire Amateur in the division's Wednesday night game.

Sam Finlaw, Danny Deakin and Adam Chapman netted for the Badgers whilst the defeat leaves the Ammers four points adrift in the relegation zone.

And, Armthorpe Welfare are now six points clear of the bottom three following their 3-2 home win over Selby Town, Jack Varley and Reuben Brewin-Hawkins giving them a 2-0 lead before Harry Clapham and Edward Dry brought the score back level.

Adam Baskerville, however, grabbed what proved to be the winner in the 76th minute to lift Armthorpe up into eighteenth.
