The freezing weather proved to be the winner in midweek with only three of the nine scheduled matches involving Toolstation NCEL sides going ahead.

Armthorpe Welfare have climbed out of the relegation zone in Division One after their 2-0 home victory over basement side Ollerton Town.

The visitors, playing under new manager James Humphreys for the first time, succumbed to a nineteenth minute penalty from Jack Varley whilst Luke Williams made sure of Welfare's win with his side's second in the final quarter-of-an-hour.

Armthorpe leapfrog Yorkshire Amateur out of the bottom three whilst Ollerton are now fourteen points away from safety.

Emley AFC's defence of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup came to an end at the Quarter-Finals stage as they were swept aside 10-0 by Pitching In Northern Premier League side Worksop Town.

And, there was a friendly for Knaresborough Town who travelled to North West Counties League hosts Steeton and came away with a 3-2 win, courtesy of a first-half hat-trick from Aaron White.
