The Toolstation NCEL Premier Division's top two, Campion and Emley AFC, moved further away from the chasing pack as they secured away victories on Saturday in the final round of matches in 2023.
Campion remain two points clear of the Pewits at the summit following their 3-1 win at bottom side Goole AFC, Aidan Day's sixth minute opener immediately cancelled out by Liam Flanagan for the hosts before second half strikes from Michael O'Brien and Patrick Sykes settled the encounter.
Ruben Jerome's hat-trick, meanwhile, helped Emley to a 7-1 defeat of Handsworth, an own goal adding to the tally along with one goal each for Iyrwah Gooden, Alex Metcalfe and James Walshaw.
Alfie Dodsworth's spot kick was the only joy of the afternoon for the hosts who remain eleventh.
Those victories mean that Campion and Emley are now fourteen and twelve points, respectively, clear of third-placed Thackley on an afternoon where only three Premier Division games were played due to bad weather.
Penistone Church were 1-0 winners in the only other match to survive the heavy rain, Antony Brown's 51st minute decider at Bottesford Town claiming the points that move his side up into sixth.
Seven fixtures went ahead in Division One with the top three all winning to maintain only a one point difference between the leading trio.
Sebastian Losa's early double means Wakefield AFC go into 2024 at the summit following their 2-0 home victory over Selby Town.
Parkgate and Shirebrook Town both recorded convincing scorelines to keep on the top side's coat-tails in second and third, respectively.
Jamie Austin struck twice for Parkgate as they beat visitors and basement side Ollerton Town 8-1, Daniel Patterson, Brandon Potts, Liam Royles, Cian Guest, Ross Duggan and Jack Haslam sharing the other Steelmen's goals around whilst Joshua Anya netted for their Nottinghamshire opponents.
And, there were two goals apiece for Lewis Macaskill and Marcus Day as, helped by an own goal and a Kieren Watson penalty, Shirebrook won 6-1 at next-to-bottom Swallownest, Charlie Spick getting on the scoresheet for the hosts.
Retford United climb to fourth, six points behind the top three, as Maximillian Dungworth's opener, added to by a Liam Owen brace, made it a winning end to the year for the Badgers as they beat visitors Glasshoughton Welfare 3-0.
Joe McFadyen also struck twice as Beverley Town won 3-1 at home to Clay Cross Town to move up into fifth spot whilst there were 3-2 victories for Louth Town and Retford FC.
Louth came from 2-1 down to beat visitors Athersley Recreation, Harris Dunn with what proved to be the winner on 78 minutes, and the White Wolves are now ninth.
Retford FC, meanwhile, are tenth after they also reversed a 2-1 deficit with second half goals from Haydn Goddard and Sam Geeves in their win at Staveley Miners Welfare.
