A Luca Defalco hat-trick helped Hallam canter through to the Second Round of this season's Isuzu FA Vase with a 5-1 home victory over Coventry United.

And, Ewan Gregson was Knaresborough's scorer as they finished 1-1 at Seaham Red Star only to be beaten 3-2 on penalties.

Silsden AFC's trip to Redcar Athletic was called off for a second time, one of five matches on Saturday involving our sides that fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

One of those postponements was in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup where Handsworth will now travel to Wombwell Main at a later date.

But, Frickley Athletic's Second Round tie went ahead with two goals for Lloyd Smith and one each for Alhassan Keita, Zavier Elkin and Wade Ripley in a 5-0 win at Dodsworth Miners Welfare.

In the Premier Division, Campion's lead at the top remains at five points despite their goalless draw at home to Albion Sports on Friday night.

There was a 5-1 home win for Goole AFC in their first game under new managers Paddy Kenny and Nathan Helliwell as Luke Williams, Dylan Collington, Alex Washington, and Liam Flanagan twice, netted for the Vikings at home to Eccleshill United.

Barton Town's match with visitors Penistone Church was called off as were Armthorpe Welfare's home clash with Ollerton Town and Brigg Town's trip to Clay Cross Town in Division One.

In the games that were played in the division, leaders Wombwell Town went down 2-0 at third-placed Wakefield AFC, Mason Rubie and Sebastian Losa with the goals meaning the gap between the two sides has been cut to four points.

Beverley Town are two points off the summit in second following their 3-1 home win over Louth Town, Kieran Perry putting the visitors ahead in the opening minute before Nathan Ofori, Scott Phillips and Oliver Baldwin secured the points for the hosts.

Igor Mlynarski grabbed an 86th minute winner for Shirebrook Town as they defeated Harrogate Railway Athletic 2-1 on their travels and they climb to fourth.

Nostell Miners Welfare are up to fifth following their 3-1 victory at Staveley Miners Welfare, Harvey Booth, Harley Blankley and Jordan Kershaw with their goals.

A 1-0 loss at Dronfield Town sees Parkgate drop to sixth, Samuel Bebbington with the only goal of the game early in the second half for the hosts who move up to ninth.

Horbury Town's 4-1 home victory at the expense of Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, courtesy of Samuel Kyeremeh, Samuel Awty, Declan McGivern and Joseph Angell, means they are now eighth.

Swallownest have moved off the bottom of the table after Ebenezer Ansah's injury-time equaliser snatched them a point in a 2-2 draw at Yorkshire Amateur with Armthorpe dropping into the basement.

And, Athersley Recreation were 4-3 winners at Selby Town to move eight points clear of the bottom three in twentieth, in a game where they trailed 3-2 going into the final five minutes before goals from Matthew Thornton and Khalid Suleiman grabbed them a dramatic victory.
