More bad weather meant further disruption in midweek but a number of county cup matches were able to played along with four games in the Toolstation NCEL.

Athersley Recreation and Rossington Main both progressed from the Second Round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup with home victories.

Sam Thompson grabbed the only goal of the game as Athersley defeated Hall Green United whilst Ross Hannah and Manasse Kiange netted to seal a comeback win for Main against fellow NCEL side Wombwell Town who had taken the lead through Gareth McDermott.

There were also two all-NCEL games in the First Round of the West Riding County Cup with Garforth Town going through at the expense of visitors Silsden AFC following a penalty shoot-out.

Jamie Barkway's opener for the hosting Miners was cancelled out in stoppage time by Adam Clayton, forcing spot-kicks that the home side won 7-6.

A Luca Bolino brace, added to by Lucas Umpleby and James Lockwood, ensured a 4-1 home win for Harrogate Railway Athletic over Armthorpe Welfare whose goal came from Jack Holden towards the end of the opening period when the hosts were leading 3-0.

Knaresborough Town edged through 3-2 at home to Route One Rovers, an injury time penalty from Ewan Gregson grabbing the win, following goals from Jack Carr and Lewis Stephens.

In the Premier Division, bottom side Bottesford Town claimed a point in their home clash with highflyers Albion Sports, Joe Simpson netting in added on time for a 2-2 draw.

The Poachers twice came from behind to end the game with honours even, Elvin Johnsen and Fernando Moke scoring for the visiting Lions with Joshua Fraiwald converting the first equaliser.

Shirebrook Town climb to fifth in Division One after goals from Kieren Watson, Carlton Carty, Igor Mlynarski, and an own goal from Callum Mawbey, secured a 4-1 win over Dronfield Town at Langwith Road.

The away side never recovered from going three goals down in the opening twenty minutes but did claim a consolation through Mark Fereday on 38 minutes.

Selby Town are up to thirteenth after a 5-3 victory at Brigg Town who ended the game with nine men, Iwan Helley with a couple of penalties for the Robins with one goal each from Daniel Davison, Caden McGrath and Harry Clapham.

Declan Bacon netted twice for the home side, with one coming from a spot kick, and Reagan Waud also got on the scoresheet for the Zebras who drop to fifteenth.

And, Clay Cross Town took all three points with a 2-1 win at Glasshoughton Welfare, courtesy of Reece Clegg's 88th minute winner after Matthew Cunliffe had seemingly rescued a draw for the hosts by cancelling out Kurtis Morley's opener.

Clay Cross leapfrog Glasshoughton, moving up to seventeenth in the table, one position above the home side.
