Ten matches survived Storm Babet to go ahead on Saturday with Albion Sports, Emley AFC and Shirebrook Town all booking their places in the Second Round of this season's Isuzu FA Vase.

Shirebrook's victory was the biggest as goals from Nathan Watson and Joe Parkin gave them a 2-0 lead by the break before a Carlton Carty double and a Kieren Watson strike in the last ten minutes secured a 5-0 victory at Hellenic League side Pershore Town.

Emley came from behind to progress at the expense of visitors Guisborough Town of the Ebac Northern Football League with Iyrwah Gooden and Alex Metcalfe netting in the second half in their 2-1 victory.

And, Albion Sports needed a penalty shoot-out to make it through to the second stage, prevailing 5-4 on spot kicks after a 1-1 home draw with West Allotment Celtic, an own goal putting the Lions ahead before their North West Counties visitors levelled on nineteen minutes.

But, there was disappointment for Parkgate as they were beaten 2-0 at Atherton Laburnum Rovers whilst five other ties involving Toolstation NCEL sides were called off due to the bad weather.

Beverley Town caused an upset in the Second Round of the JCP Construction League Cup as the Division One side won 2-0 at Premier Division hosts Thackley.

Grant Tait put the away side ahead in the first half and the home side's afternoon worsened around the hour mark with the dismissal of Joseph Mitchell before Beverley's second sealed the tie, Benjamin Hinchliffe with the strike with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.

Two games were played in the Premier Division with leaders Campion extending their lead at the summit to five points with a 5-3 victory in a dramatic game at Handsworth.

Luke Rhodes put the away side ahead early on but Aaron Moxam and Mason Barlow gave the hosts a 2-1 advantage by the break, Stephen Crawford then restored parity and Moxam's second made it 3-2 for Handsworth midway through the second period.

But, Samuel Bradley quickly made it 3-3 and then an own goal for Michael Trench and an injury-time strike from Joseph Colley secured the Red and Blacks three hard-fought points.

Penistone Church have moved up to tenth after a Daniel Thirkell own goal, and one each for Nathan Keightley and Kieran Ryan, in their 3-1 home win over Tadcaster Albion whose late consolation came from a Jordan Machen own goal.

In Division One, table-toppers Wombwell Town won 2-0 at Staveley Miners Welfare to move them five points clear, Edward Agnew and Owen Birks with the goals.

Two other games took place with Dronfield Town up to tenth after showing no mercy to basement visitors Swallownest.

Max Rhodes scored a hat-trick, there were two goals apiece for Mark Fereday and James Lindores, and Daniel White, Samuel Bebbington, Joe Person and Callum Mawbey also got on the scoresheet in an 11-0 victory, the joint-biggest win in the division this season.

And, Horbury Town climb to ninth after Jock Curran, Declan McGivern, Abdul Asamoah, James Cusworth, Thomas Brook and Eoin Schofield all claimed one goal each in their 6-2 home victory over Brigg Town, with Jordan Spencer and Stephen McCarron netting for the Zebras who stay fourteenth.
