Campion have returned to the top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division following their 4-2 home victory over Penistone Church on Saturday.

They trailed 2-0, courtesy of a first half injury time strike from Thomas Charlesworth and a second from Antony Brown soon after the interval, but Daniel Illingworth, Samuel Bradley, Emmerson Cox and Stephen Crawford then netted to complete a turnaround in the hosts' favour.

Campion replace Silsden AFC at the summit after the Cobbydalers fell to a 3-0 defeat at Garforth Town, the Miners moving up to sixth in the table thanks to an early goal from Nash Conolly before Sam Barker and Rinor Ejupi ensured victory in the final ten minutes.

Asa Mitchell and Edson Prata were the scorers as Thackley beat visitors Albion Sports to climb above their opponents into third whilst the Lions drop to fifth, also overtaken by Emley AFC who won 5-1 at Tadcaster Albion.

The Pewits went behind to a fifth minute Oliver Norman goal but then took control as Ruben Jerome, Joe Clegg, Paul Walker, Iyrwah Gooden and Nathan Curtis all found the net for the visitors.

Emley's delight, however, was dampened by a serious leg injury to James Walshaw but the club announced on social media on Saturday night that there were no broken bones and they hope to see him back in action in a month's time.

Handsworth and Rossington Main complete the top eight with Handsworth dropping to seventh after their 1-1 draw at Frickley Athletic, Craig Nelthorpe's penalty rescuing them a point after Alhassane Keita's breakthrough for their hosts.

And, Rossington snatched a 2-1 home victory over Knaresborough Town, who they swap places with in the table, as Ross Hannah scored twice in stoppage time to grab the win after Jack Carr's first half injury time strike had seemingly given the visitors the points.

Bottesford Town picked up a 1-1 draw at Golcar United, Reece Moody cancelling out the hosts' opener from George Doyle, but they remain in the basement although they have closed the gap on Pickering Town to two points.

That is because the Pikes let go of a 4-1 half-time advantage to lose 5-4 at Eccleshill United, Omar Sanyang's double, added to one each by Paul Roddam and Wayne Brooksby seemingly giving them an unassailable lead.

But, two goals apiece from Cole Roberts and Phillip Nkomo secured the comeback for the hosts who are up to fifteenth whilst Pickering fall into the bottom two.

Maltby Main move up a spot to eighteenth after a late double from Nathan Perks and an injury time goal from Malachi-Ethan Bailey ensured a 3-1 home win over Goole AFC.

And, Thomas Waudby popped up in stoppage time to net an equaliser for Barton Town as they drew 2-2 at Hallam.

The Division One action began on Friday night with a top three clash as Nostell Miners Welfare entertained leaders Wombwell Town and they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Bradley Kerr put the away side ahead on ten minutes before a brace early in the second half from Carl Robinson put the hosts in front only for Rikki Paylor to make sure honours ended up even.

Second-placed Beverley Town have closed the gap to the summit to three points following their 3-0 home win over basement side Swallownest, Joe McFadyen breaking the deadlock on 71 minutes before a quickfire double Conner Harman finally ended the visitors' stubborn resistance.

Wakefield AFC are up to fourth after pummelling visitors Ollerton Town 11-0 with eight of the goals coming in the opening period.

There were two each for Jaydan Sandhu, Kieran Ceesay and Mason Rubie whilst Jack Durkin, Sebastian Losa, Jake Morrison, Cameron Barnett and Cody Woodward all netted to pile the misery on the away side who stay 21st.

Jack Haslam's late winner secured a 2-1 victory for Parkgate at Retford United but the Steelmen fall to fifth on goal difference due to Wakefield's big scoreline.

Shirebrook Town go above United into sixth, courtesy of a 2-2 draw at Staveley Miners Welfare, Kieren Watson and Joshua Devereux with their goals whilst Joel Ward struck twice for their near neighbours.

It was a day to forget for the bottom five as they were all beaten with Armthorpe Welfare, Athersley Recreation and Yorkshire Amateur joining Swallownest and Ollerton in tasting defeat.

Owen Thomas and Jonas Ndombasi were the scorers as visitors Glasshoughton Welfare won 2-0 at Armthorpe whilst Athersley went down 2-1 at Harrogate Railway Athletic, Luca Bollino and a Jack Briscoe own goal securing the points for the Rail.

And, the Ammers were beaten by the same scoreline at home by Brigg Town, Oliver Fisher grabbing the vital second for the visiting Zebras early in the second half.

Roy Fogarty got both of Selby Town's goals as they won 2-1 at home to Clay Cross Town, and Horbury Town were 4-0 home victors over Retford FC, thanks to Abdul Asamoah, Gibril Bojang, James Cusworth and Samuel Awty.

Meanwhile, there was a 1-0 victory for Worsbrough Bridge Athletic at Dronfield Town with Michael Fereday's 48th minute own goal the difference between the two sides.
